The Kenyan organization Skunkworks organized an ICT Open Day today, Oct. 4th, 08, in Nairobi. The event featured a variety of local (mostly open source) software projects and their developers -

2008: During the first year, the different programme components were planned in detail. Partnerships with African FOSS organization were formed, staff members and consultants joined the programme team.

2009: The first programme component on African FOSS Business was launched. Four regional "training of trainers" courses were successfully conducted and national training courses prepared. Preparation was also undertaken for the other programme components: FOSS Certification and FOSS Applications.
