18^th European Conference on Information Systems - Pretoria, South Africa

Guests are invited to register for the 2010 European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS 2010) at the University of Pretoria, South Africa from 6 – 9 June. This year's ECIS theme is “IT to Empower”.

As in previous years, ECIS 2010 will include several programs and events including a doctoral consortium, conference tracks, mini-tracks, panels, posters, tutorials and workshops. Panel issues and topics will mirror the conference theme and address the following:

• global and developmental issues, including cultural considerations

• ethical considerations, including accessibility and sustainability

• open sourcing

• mobile computing

• IT and new organisational forms and innovations

• IT in non-commerical contexts

• gender issues

• knowledge transfer
