This years e-Learning Africa took place in Dakar, Senegal from the 27^th - 29^th of May. Athough this report is both belated and short it is worth mentioning the outstanding contributions FOSSFA-representatives made during this conference – the largest on ICT and Education in Africa. Whether in the pre-conference workshop on the topic of „Story Telling“ where Fatimate Seye Sylla reported on the work of the NGO Bokk Jang, the FOSSFA-led session where the sustainability of Open Source vs. Proprietary solutions was discussed or the speech Nnenna Nwakanma gave at the closing session of the conference – the role of Open Source Technologies in education was prominently placed and discussed throughout the conference.
